Growing up in Detroit surrounded by automotive history, I was fascinated by the impact a leap in mobility technology, when accessible to the masses, transformed the way people lived, traveled, and developed civilization.  I dreamt of making a similar impact in my own time, but knew I would need to hone my tools and gather wisdom first. Conceptually-minded and artistically inclined, I leaned into design as a career because I recognized how well visual storytelling describes ideas, bridging cultures and languages.

As an industrial designer, I've worked cross-functionally for global brands within multiple industries delivering dozens of products from concept to production that have had years of market success. Working in collaboration with engineers and stakeholders, we leveraged sketches, market trends research, 3D models, rapid prototypes, Keyshot renderings and animations, progressing to factory-produced prototypes before finally launching our consumer-facing products.

Around 2016, I began using human-centered innovation to discover people’s needs, brainstorm collaboratively, develop prototypes and test usability. This started when I got my UX certification during my time at Fossil.  Ever since, I’ve done qualitative user research to discover people’s broader needs, laying the foundations on which to channel creative solutions.

I currently endeavor to leverage my industrial design experience and human centered design passion to bring a dynamic range value to organizations that are looking to innovate.  I hope to further expand my skills by exploring sustainable manufacturing methods, materials, packaging, and assembly methods.

Using an adaptable and inclusive innovation process, my long-term dream is to develop an evolution of our global infrastructure that will examine everything from autonomous mobility, to sewage, waste management, water treatment and other pressing global needs.  It’s important for our planet's health and future of civilization to do this in an ethically sound way in balance with each unique natural ecosystem and culture.
